Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026. This policy covers permittipoff.com and the PermitTipoff and San Diego Build Watch emails, operated by Trade Boss Pro LLC ("we").

What we collect

• Subscribers: your email address and name/company if you provide them. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive your billing name, email, billing ZIP/country and subscription status, but never your full card number.
• Newsletter and waitlist sign-ups: your email address, the list you joined and, for the city waitlist, the city you typed. We store these in our own Cloudflare account (Cloudflare Workers KV). If we later use an email service to send the newsletter, we'll move the list there and update this policy.
• Email engagement: our email tools may record opens and clicks. We use this only to keep delivery healthy and improve the product.
• Website: the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security.

Business contact data used for outreach

To tell contractors about PermitTipoff, we may email businesses using publicly available business information: company names from public permit and contractor-license records, and business websites and the business email addresses a business publishes on its own website. Every such email identifies us, includes our postal address and has a one-click way to opt out. We honor opt-outs within 10 business days and keep a suppression list so you aren't contacted again.

Permit data in our product

Lead files contain public City of San Diego permit records (public domain, ODC-PDDL). We remove individuals' names and show only company names as contractor of record.

How we use your information

We use it to deliver the emails and files you signed up for, handle billing and support, and send service notices. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the product (Stripe, our email provider, and Cloudflare, our web host) or when the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@permittipoff.com. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We keep subscriber records while you're subscribed and as long as tax and accounting rules require afterward. We keep suppression (do-not-email) records indefinitely so we can honor opt-outs.
